Pratt Industries of Wichita is hiring for a warehouse position at our Kansas City area facility located at 6810 Orville Ave., Kansas City, Kansas.

Job Description:

Responsibilities include moving various-sized units or products to the next staging area, maintaining accurate records of unit locations, performing basic equipment maintenance, and general housekeeping. Assist with general operations as needed.

Requirements:

• Must be Pratt forklift certified and safety-conscious
• Previous Pratt experience or two years forklift operation preferred
• Experience with warehouse management systems (scanners/barcode) preferred
• Ability to identify equipment maintenance needs
• Multi-tasking, communication, problem-solving, and time management skills required
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures and weekend schedules

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED; attention to damage prevention.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the corrugated industry
• Forklift operator experience

Skills:

• Ability to read instructions and use a tape measure accurately
• Basic math skills including percentages, measurement, and volume
• Common sense understanding to follow instructions and solve problems
• Knowledge of equipment design, product layouts, quality standards

Licenses:

May require a current Lift Truck Operator License.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks regularly. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment:

Exposure to moving mechanical parts, humid conditions, high places, fumes, vibration, and loud noise levels.
