Job summary

CFS Brands LLC in Medley, FL is seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to move, load, and unload products within the distribution center, using forklifts and reach trucks to ensure accurate inventory and on-time order fulfillment.

You will support receiving, replenishment, and warehouse safety, maintain clean work areas, and communicate inventory or safety concerns to leadership, while upholding company policies and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Maintain a current forklift operator certification.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures for forklift and reach-truck operations.
• Safely operate forklifts and reach trucks to locate, load, and unload pallets.
• Maintain accurate inventory locations and perform inventory replenishment with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
• Communicate inventory improvement opportunities, such as incorrect labeling or product placement, to the supervisor.
• Receive, inspect, and sort inventory.
• Prepare customer orders for shipment and delivery.
• Use technology, including scanners, computers, and tablets.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and ensure aisles remain clear and safe.
• Complete the required forklift maintenance checklist.
• Park and place the forklift on charge at the end of each shift.

About the Role

The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently moving, storing, loading, and unloading products within the distribution center. This position operates forklifts and reach trucks, maintains accurate inventory locations, supports receiving, replenishment, and order fulfillment, and helps ensure that customer orders are prepared accurately and on time.

The role requires a strong commitment to forklift safety, attention to detail, teamwork, and compliance with Company policies and standard operating procedures. The Forklift Operator will also support a clean, organized, and productive warehouse environment while communicating inventory or safety concerns to leadership.

Job Responsibilities

Follow all safety procedures for forklift and reach-truck operations.

Safely operate forklifts and reach trucks to locate, load, and unload pallets.

Maintain accurate inventory locations and perform inventory replenishment with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.

Forklift Safety Requirements

Wear the seat belt when operating a sit-down forklift.

Do not engage in horseplay or misuse forklifts or reach trucks.

Sound the horn while traveling near blind intersections and around corners.

Do not allow riders; forklifts and reach trucks are for one operator only.

Chock truck and trailer wheels before entering with a forklift.

Do not raise or lower loads while traveling.

Lower the forks to the ground when the forklift is fully stopped.

Never raise or transport a person on the forks.

Inspect the forklift before each shift and immediately report any unsafe conditions or equipment concerns.

Qualifications

Maintain a current forklift operator certification.

Successfully complete forklift recertification in accordance with Company policy.

Follow all safety standards for lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling.

Maintain a positive attitude toward cross-training.

Demonstrate a commitment to customer satisfaction and product quality.

Handle products carefully to prevent damage.

Follow all Company guidelines, shipping procedures, and standard operating procedures.

Demonstrate basic scanner, tablet, and computer skills.

Operate material-handling equipment safely and effectively.

Stand and walk for extended periods.

Lift up to 50 pounds.

Work comfortably in a warehouse environment with exposure to heat, cold, and noise.

Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills when working with team members and leaders.
