Job Description: Forklift Operator

Summary: To perform duties under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor or designee in a safe, professional, and efficient manner.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Operate a forklift safely and responsibly.
2. Read and understand all operational and safety guidelines provided during forklift license training.
3. Operate both fork and clamp attachments.
4. Transport finished goods and raw materials as directed.
5. Load and unload semi-trailers, complete and assist with necessary paperwork and communication.
6. Use all scanning equipment required for the job.
7. Maintain and update inventory information through scans, written logs, or other methods.
8. Lift and carry containers, pallets, shrink-wrap, and other packaging materials as needed.
9. Communicate professionally with supervisors, coordinators, and co-workers.
10. Assist other departments as needed.
11. Perform any other duties as directed.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of forklift experience required; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must obtain or be able to obtain a forklift driver's license.
• Proficient in mathematics and grammar skills.
• Ability to lift and load containers up to 30 lbs.
