Job summary

Paycom in Denton, TX is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to support production and maintenance by maintaining an accurate material inventory in the computer system and on paper.

The role includes receiving, processing, and storing materials, conducting cycle counts, loading/unloading, resolving discrepancies, and adhering to strict inventory procedures; forklift operation required. Swing shift responsibilities apply.

• Loads and unloads trailers and flatbeds as required.
• Resolves inventory discrepancies and reports non-conforming product when identified.
• Performs as a Class A Driver.

Job Details: Job Location: Denton, TX - Denton, TX 76207, Job Shift: Swing, Under general supervision, supports production and maintenance by maintaining an accurate material inventory in the computer system and on paper. Accurately maintain records of receipts, issues, transfers, and conduct cycle counts daily. Strict Inventory Control Procedures will be adhered to. This position involves the operation of electric and propane powered industrial vehicles (Tow Motors).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the receipt and inventory of incoming shipments, ensuring shipment is processed and placed in the appropriate bin. Ensure the appropriate transactions are entered into the computer system
• Process materials to be shipped by reviewing open order reports, pick list or tags.
• Pull the appropriate material and transfer to required location
• Conduct cycle counts as necessary and manage inventory of assigned area
• Load and unload trailers and flatbeds as required
• Resolve inventory discrepancies
• Perform as a Class A Driver
• Has the Authority and Responsibility to report non-conforming product

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• A high school diploma or equivalent

• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of supervisors and/or managers in the English language

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations

REASONING ABILITY

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
