Job summary

Power Equipment Distributors, Inc. in Richmond, MI is hiring a Warehouse Associate to receive shipments, verify orders, process returns, and help maintain inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of warehouse experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be forklift certified.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including typing and navigating internet-based software systems; experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal comprehension skills, with the ability to understand information presented in written and spoken form.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds. The role requires regular standing, walking, sitting, handling, bending, and reaching.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness in completing tasks.
  • Demonstrates reliability, punctuality, and responsibility, consistently dependable in meeting job expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving inbound shipments and verifying contents against purchase orders to ensure accuracy.
  • Processing customer returns and Return Goods Authorizations (RGA’s) in accordance with company policies.
  • Staging and relocating products as needed to support efficient warehouse flow and space utilization.
  • Performing put-away of incoming goods using best practices to maintain inventory organization and accessibility.
  • Packing and unpacking items for storage on warehouse shelves, ensuring proper labeling and placement.
  • Cleaning and maintaining tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe work environment.
  • Examining stock for damage or defects and reporting issues promptly to the warehouse manager.
  • Performing in-house packaging of products for shipment or inventory storage.
  • Contributing to a positive work environment through clear communication and respectful collaboration with customers, coworkers, and management.

Warehouse Associate

What You'll Be Doing

Pay Range
  • $17.50 - $18.50/hr
