Our manufacturing department is looking for a dependable Machine Operator to support our overnight operations. You will play a key role in handling raw materials, overseeing production machinery, and verifying that all equipment functions with peak safety and efficiency. Primary Duties
- Prepare and organize raw materials to guarantee the correct loading of plastic media into production units.
- Observe production systems and instrumentation consistently to help maintain a safe and productive workflow for the entire facility.
- Utilize a variety of manufacturing tools, including extruders, dispersers, forklifts, PLC systems, water units, and pumps.
- Make necessary equipment adjustments to ensure the machinery operates at its highest potential.
- Track manufacturing cycles to proactively spot operational or mechanical malfunctions.
- Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by adhering to all safety protocols and keeping the workspace tidy.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and report any maintenance or production issues to leadership.
- Document production data and equipment logs with precision as mandated by company standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to help the team achieve quality benchmarks and production targets.
Skills and Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience operating a forklift is mandatory.
- Background in machine operation or general manufacturing is a plus.
- Capable of safely managing and overseeing industrial machinery.
- Fundamental knowledge of production workflows and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in following both verbal and written directives.
- Strong focus on precision to help minimize errors and improve overall product quality.
- Ability to function effectively both independently and within a collaborative team structure.
- Reliable availability to work the 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM overnight shift.
