Job Description:

The Forklift Operator is responsible for properly loading, unloading, storing, verifying, and shipping materials in the plant. The incumbent will also ensure the shipment of customer samples and finished goods, receive, and accurately store raw materials and packaging materials, and handle additional incoming and outgoing shipments.

1. Ensure product is safely and properly moved and stored as needed
2. Group all empty boxes from warehouse, stack wooden skids safely, shrink wrap, and put in racks
3. Assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed
4. Ensure all product is stored in designated areas by shift
5. Set up parts for daily truck routes
6. Complete daily forklift inspections
7. Keep dock area clean, neat, and organized inside and outside the location
8. Complete any work duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 3+ years’ experience with industrial forklift trucks and in the automotive industry preferred
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• 1+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with good organizational skills required
• Basic computer skills
• Experience driving/operating a forklift is a plus
• Ability to pay close attention to detail for accuracy
• Motivated to grow and develop skills for advancement
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and overtime
• Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment

Compensation:

$20-$29 per hour
