Job summary

FAROUK SYSTEMS INC. is seeking a forklift/reach truck driver in shipping to pull orders for the shipping area, primarily full pallets and various shelf heights. You will count, weigh, and verify items against pick lists and orders using RF scanners and SAP transactions.

The role requires operating motorized equipment, maintaining safe storage and clean work areas, and meeting productivity and quality standards. High school diploma or GED preferred; warehouse experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Job description

General:

The Forklift/reach truck driver in shipping is responsible for pulling orders for shipping.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Pull large orders for shipping area—mainly full pallets and all heights on shelving
• Must be able to count, weight or measure incoming or outgoing product to compare identifying information and variety against pick list, oral instructions, orders or other records.
• Must be able to effectively use manual means (push cart, pallet jack) and /or motorized handling equipment to process customer orders.
• Must be certified or become certified in the use of all motorized handling equipment.
• Must be able to effectively use RF scanner to process customer orders.
• Must be consistently meet or exceed productivity and quality standards as specified in the department’s productivity/ quality standards.
• Must be able to understand and execute basic Sap Transactions using the RF Scanner.
• Inspect /examine all material/shipments for quality issues, overages or shortages. Report finding to supervisor: takes corrective action as required.
• Selects product and processes orders accurately as instructed manually and by computerized warehouse management operating system SAP.
• Maintain assigned picking aisles as assigned.
• Ensure that product staged and stored is placed in safe areas and at safe height as directed by management team.
• Follow all safety procedure specifically with regards to the proper handling of hazardous materials, taking care to work within warehouse safety guidelines.
• Conduct inspections of assigned areas and maintains cleanliness of work areas.
• Actively participate in process improvement initiatives as required.
• Actively participate in general housekeeping activities
• Responsible for putting the new product/ outlet/damage aerosol into the warehouse.
• Organize pallets at the warehouse and returns area.
• Maintain daily forklift sheets.
• Make sure warehouse is organized and clean throughout
• Assist with periodic physical inventory activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience operating motorized or non-motorized materials. For example forklift, pallet jack, reach truck, and cherry pickers.
• Able to follow instructions.
• Able to operate an RF gun for picking and receiving.

Skills & Abilities:

• Must be able to stand continuously for up to 8 hours daily.
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 30 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 lbs.
• Must have good hand/eye coordination.
• Will be required to work overtime as asked per department’s needs.
