Job summary

Saia Motor Freight Line LLC is seeking dockworkers to efficiently sort, handle and load freight into and unload it from trailers and containers using a sit-down forklift. Some duties may include hostler tasks moving trailers throughout the yard and ensuring DOT-compliant handling.

Qualifications include forklift certification and freight dock experience; hazmat training and general warehouse experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification and freight handling experience required.
• Hazmat training preferred.
• Previous dock or warehouse experience helpful.
• Ability to read shipping labels and interpret DOT guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on trailers using forklift, pallet jack, or manually.
• Read and interpret shipping labels.
• Secure freight inside trailer using dunnage.
• Move trailers as needed in the yard (hostler duties).
