Qualifications

Responsibilities

Pay: Starting at $16 depending on experience Shift: 1st 8am-4pm

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Driver / Shipping & Receiving Associate to support our metal finishing and electroplating operations. This position is responsible for moving raw materials and finished products throughout the facility, loading and unloading trucks, preparing shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

The ideal candidate will have forklift experience and a background in warehouse, dock, and shipping/receiving operations. Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Forklift Operation

• Safely operate sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts to transport materials, pallets, racks, and containers.
• Load and unload inbound and outbound trucks.
• Move products between production, staging, storage, and shipping areas.
• Inspect forklifts daily and report any maintenance or safety concerns.

Shipping & Receiving

• Receive incoming materials and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and completing shipping documentation.
• Coordinate with carriers and drivers at the loading dock.
• Ensure all shipments meet customer and company specifications.

Warehouse Duties

• Organize inventory and maintain clean, orderly storage areas.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy.
• Stage materials for production and customer orders.
• Assist with general warehouse and dock duties as needed.

Safety & Compliance

• Handle materials according to environmental and safety guidelines for the metal finishing and electroplating industry.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of forklift experience in a warehouse, dock, shipping, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with shipping and receiving processes.
• Ability to read shipping documents, packing slips, and labels.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods.
• PreferredCurrent forklift certification.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems or ERP software.
• Knowledge of hazardous material handling procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
• Stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
• Work in a production environment with exposure to chemicals, fumes, and varying temperatures.

Work Environment

This position works in a manufacturing facility specializing in metal finishing and electroplating. Employees may be exposed to chemicals, humidity, noise, and industrial equipment. Proper PPE and training are provided.
