Qualifications

• Knowledge of automated or computerized system operation.
• Data-entry, reporting, and recordkeeping skills.
• Knowledge of safety practices, and wears PPE as assigned.
• Ability to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment. Must be Forklift Operation Certified after hire.
• Strong mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Read and interpret invoices and packing slips.
• Must be a team player and adhere to QED's strong core values and beliefs.
• Strong communication skills both orally and in writing.
• Problem-solving skills including data collection and presenting facts.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move Yard materials from storage to staging sites and/or designated areas per each sales ticket.
• Use work orders and verbal instructions to assemble materials and containers which need to be picked, moved, or staged.
• Collect and pick all Yard materials included customer orders using the pick ticket.
• Package merchandise for shipment to ensure maximum efficiency and reduce damage during the shipping process.
• Properly wrap, label, and mark material for easy identification and loading.
• Use Eclipse to confirm picking and staging of materials, ensuring proper piece count for drivers and customers.
• Load materials onto vehicles and properly secure cargo.
• Unload incoming vehicles, prepare necessary receiving documents, and receive all Yard materials.
• Document shipments and changes in inventory using Eclipse.
• Clean work areas, machines, and equipment on a routine basis.
• Safely operate all the necessary equipment in the work area. Operate forklift to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Count, weigh or measure incoming or outgoing items to compare information and invoices.
