Job summary

ServiceMaster Elite Janitorial Services is seeking a dependable Material Handler to support daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution center in Ohio. You will safely load, unload, move, and organize pallets and materials, using forklifts when needed, and help keep the area OSHA-compliant and orderly.

The role emphasizes reliability, safety, and attention to detail, with opportunities to collaborate across teams and contribute to inventory accuracy and overall warehouse efficiency.

Qualifications

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and stooping while handling materials.
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds frequently.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards related to warehouse operations.
• Proof of prior forklift certification is a plus; and select candidates will be recertified to our company standards.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and/or other material-handling equipment, as required, to load and unload materials and products from trucks, trailers, and containers.
• Build, stack, and organize pallets for efficient storage and transportation.
• Move and maneuver pallets and goods throughout the facility.
• Load, unload, and stack pallets manually or with equipment.
• Inspect pallets for damage and repair, recycle, or remove as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Assist with inventory management, quality control, and general warehouse support.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
