Job summary

GPC in High Point, NC seeks a Receiving Associate to unload shipments, verify contents, and move items to the correct stock locations within the distribution center. The role requires ability to operate in a fast-paced warehouse, record shipments, and support cross-docking activities.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, at least 6 months of warehouse experience, and be able to lift up to 60 pounds. Forklift certification and RADS gun operation are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
• 6 months prior work experience.
• Have a working knowledge of the entire stockroom.
• Ability to work in a fast paced setting and remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to communicate with customers, supervisors, and other Will Call employees.
• Must pass a drug screen and routine background inquiry.
• Capable of lifting up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to operate and be certified on a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Unloads shipments, verifies accuracy, and transports items to proper stock locations.
• Records all incoming shipments on the receiving log.
• Distributes, sorts, and records shipments; delivers next-day air mail as needed.
• Handles Pro Point repair and returns.
• Ships W.O.G. and cross docks to jobbers.
• Assists in unloading returned merchandise and verifies piece count.
