Job summary

Sarnova HC, LLC in Elizabethtown, PA is seeking an Equipment Operator to accurately pick and pack merchandise for shipment, using a forklift when needed, and to perform receiving and put-away tasks as directed. This role supports the warehouse operations that keep medical equipment ready for customers.

Responsibilities include safely operating a forklift, reading orders, labeling and packing, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Sarnova Forklift Certification required or provided prior to operating equipment
• 2–4 years warehousing experience with 1–2 years forklift experience preferred
• Experience with personal computer equipment preferred
• Experience driving material handling equipment (Reach Truck, Cherry Picker, Forklift) preferred
• Ability to use carrier's shipping system for processing, labeling and tracking packages
• Ability to work in a positive team environment
• Ability to work in fast-paced warehouse environment
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, move, and stack products and materials within the warehouse while following all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Perform receiving of product including new, used, service, and returned goods, observing all safety precautions
• Read customer orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be picked and shipped
• Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas
• Assemble and pack customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or in bins
• Process orders using approved carrier's online service
• Pack all items using proper procedures to prevent damages, including packing slip with each order
• Attach required labels to packages, compliant with all HAZMAT shipping laws and requirements
• Verify items on order for accuracy
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
• Assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed
