Job summary

KBR, Inc in Columbia, Maryland is seeking a Warehouse Specialist to perform physical and administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, storage and distribution of materials on-site. The role requires at least two years of logistics experience, a High School Diploma or GED, forklift operator certification, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and assist with inventory, packing, and loading.

Qualifications

• Two years of logistics/materials handling experience required.
• Must have or obtain Secret clearance.
• Forklift operator certification required.

Responsibilities

• Route materials to prescribed storage or work locations.
• Manage all storage areas to maximize space utilization.
• Store, stack, or palletize materials per prescribed storage methods.
• Prepare material for shipment (wrapping, boxing, crate fabrication, strapping and palletizing).
• Rearranges and inventories stored materials.
• Inspects stored materials for deterioration or damage.
• Operates forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Lifts or moves equipment weighing up to 51 pounds; heavier with assistance.
• Occasionally climbs structures with safety equipment.
