ACT PIPE & SUPPLY in Houston, TX is seeking a Warehouse Associate to process and fulfill orders, handle incoming shipments, and maintain a well-organized warehouse.

Responsibilities include data entry for purchase orders, pulling orders, stocking with a forklift, inventory checks, and ensuring safety and clean storage areas.

No prior experience required, but strong communication and organizational skills are valued; forklift certification is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift certification required.
• No prior experience required; warehouse, order pulling or customer service experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsabilités

• Process and fulfill orders and accept incoming shipments.
• Oversee the general organization of the warehouse.
• Enter purchase order data in inventory control system.
• Pull orders and prepare shipping paperwork for UPS or LTL shipments.
• Stock shelves using a forklift.
• Take inventory and identify items to reorder.
• Keep records of incoming/outgoing orders and stock handling equipment.
• Receive and record deliveries; inspect items for damages.
• Store items in orderly, accessible locations.
• Answer customer questions and advise on stock selection.
• Address complaints and notify supervisor of shipping issues.
• Create and issue sales quotes daily.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
