Job summary

American Sugar Refining, Buffalo NY, is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to handle shipments, verify orders, and support warehouse operations. The role requires flexibility to work weekends and holidays and includes forklift/tow motor tasks.

You will prepare Bills of Lading, label shipments, log deliveries, and ensure safety and quality. 1-2 years in industrial manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred; forklift certification required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in an industrial manufacturing and/or warehouse environment preferred
• Forklift or tow motor experience preferred; certification is required
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
• Regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds; able to stand, walk, and perform material handling tasks

Responsibilities

• Verify incoming/outgoing shipments against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
• Operate tow motor or pallet jack to move shipments within the warehouse
• Prepare Bills of Lading (BOL) and shipping labels
• Log inbound deliveries from couriers (FedEx, UPS, etc.) and post weights/shipping charges
• Ensure safety requirements and quality standards are maintained
• Perform finished goods and supplies inventory as needed
• All other duties as assigned
