Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a yard/warehouse worker to perform routine loading and unloading of materials and to assemble load packages for delivery to customer job sites. You will use forklifts, hand trucks and other devices, ensuring loads are balanced and safely prepared for transport.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED with 3 months of related experience and forklift certification. Safety is emphasized through regular training and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 3 months related tasks or equivalent.
• Forklift certification required and safety procedures followed.
• Ability to read work orders and label items accurately.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trucks or customer vehicles.
• Assembles load packages into trucks for delivery to job sites.
• Operates hand trucks, electric dollies, forklifts and other devices safely.
• Verifies weight, placement and balance of loads for safe hauling.
• Follows work orders and labels materials for correct identification.
