Job summary

Americold seeks an inventory assistant to perform regular counts, update records, and support inventory projects at our Cartersville facility. You will investigate discrepancies, process adjustments, and help with customer requests while maintaining safety and accuracy in warehouse operations.

Experience with AS/400 and MS Office is preferred; a forklift license is required. This role may involve occasional travel and aligning with warehouse processes in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED + 1 year of office experience or equivalent training.
• Experience with AS/400 and Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
• Forklift license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inventory counts (cycle counts and full inventories) and report results.
• Research and resolve inventory discrepancies; adjust quantities and manage damaged/missing items.
• Update inventory records in the Warehouse Management System and process adjustments.
• Assist with special projects and customer-specific inventory requests.
• Report operational errors impacting inventory performance.
• Promote a safe work environment by identifying safety concerns.
