Qualifications

Responsibilities

Battery Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal performance of forklift batteries. This includes checking battery fluid levels, cleaning battery terminals, and monitoring battery charging processes.
Battery Repair: Diagnose and troubleshoot battery issues, such as low voltage, short circuits, or battery cell damage.
Battery Testing and Monitoring: Utilize specialized tools and equipment to test battery capacity, voltage, and overall health. Monitor battery performance metrics and identify any abnormalities or signs of degradation.
Battery Replacement: Determine when a battery has reached the end of its lifespan and needs to be replaced. Properly dispose of old batteries and install new batteries in forklifts.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of battery maintenance, repairs, replacements, and performance data. Generate reports on battery health, usage, and any recurring issues.
Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and best practices when working with batteries. Follow relevant regulations and standards for battery handling, storage, and disposal.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other forklift technicians and maintenance teams to coordinate battery-related tasks and ensure smooth operations. Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and stakeholders regarding battery-related issues and recommendations.
