Job summary

LiftOne is seeking a Forklift Battery Specialist to maintain and optimize forklift batteries, ensuring reliable operation and safety. The role requires hands-on experience with battery systems, diagnostic tools, and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.

You will work closely with maintenance teams to inspect, repair, test, and replace batteries, while documenting performance and adhering to safety standards. Strong independent work ethic and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proven experience with battery systems, preferably in forklift/automotive settings.
• Strong technical knowledge of battery components, charging processes, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with battery testing and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting battery-related issues and implementing effective solutions.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Battery Maintenance: perform regular inspections and maintenance of forklift batteries, including fluid levels and terminals.
• Battery Repair: diagnose and troubleshoot issues such as low voltage, shorts, or cell damage.
• Battery Testing and Monitoring: use diagnostic tools to test capacity, voltage, and health; monitor performance.
• Battery Replacement: determine end of life and replace batteries; dispose of old units.
• Documentation and Reporting: keep accurate records and generate reports on battery health and usage.
• Safety and Compliance: follow safety guidelines and regulations for handling and disposal of batteries.
• Collaboration and Communication: coordinate with other technicians and report findings to supervisors.
