Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience working with battery systems, preferably in forklift or automotive settings.
• Strong technical knowledge of battery components, charging processes, and maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with battery testing and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting battery-related issues and implementing solutions.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Battery maintenance: inspect and maintain forklift batteries for optimal performance.
• Battery repair: diagnose and troubleshoot issues like low voltage or cell damage.
• Battery testing/monitoring: use tools to test capacity, voltage, health.
• Battery replacement: determine end of life and install new batteries.
• Documentation: record maintenance, repairs, and performance data.
• Safety/compliance: follow guidelines for handling, storage, disposal.
• Collaboration: coordinate with other technicians and communicate issues and recommendations.
