Job summary

Lofton Staffing Services is seeking an experienced forklift driver for a local, established construction-focused company. The role involves operating a forklift, assembling orders, unloading/loading customers, and maintaining an organized work area.

The position requires at least one year of relevant experience, good communication, and ability to work in varying environments. Pay is $18 per hour and is full-time, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in construction and/or manufacturing with forklift operation.

Responsibilities

• Sort and place materials on racks or bins according to predetermined sequence.
• Operate a forklift to move materials as required.
• Perform manual tasks such as pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place in shipping/holding areas.
• Assist in unloading/loading customers and inventory.
• Assist in filling work/shipping orders and maintaining orderly work area.
• Contribute to general support and other duties as assigned.

Our office is seeking an experienced forklift driver for a local, well-established company, specializing in construction.

What you'll do:

• Sort and place materials and items on racks, shelves or bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, color or product code.
• Operate a forklift to move material and supplies as required
• Perform a wide range of physical activities that include pulling, pushing, reaching, bending over, climbing, and kneeling
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders in appropriate shipping/holding areas
• Assist in unloading and loading customers
• Assists in performing inventory on materials
• Assist in filling work/shipping orders
• Maintain o rderliness at all times through a clean and organized work area
• Assist in other duties as assigned in general support of the organization

Qualifications:

• Mininum one year experience in construction and/or manufacturing environment with ability to operate a forklift
• Ability to communicate with customers, employees, and business leaders
• Great organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Able to withstand elements and work in an uncontrolled climate environments
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• High School Diploma or GED preferred

Position is full time Monday-Friday. Pay rate of $18/hr.
