Job summary

Barton Staffing Solutions, Inc. is seeking experienced Forklift Drivers for the 2nd shift in Illinois. Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, move, and stack products within a warehouse or distribution center.

Shift is 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM, Monday-Friday, with a pay rate of $20.50 per hour. Responsibilities include RF scanning, basic shipping docs, and maintaining safety per OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift operator license or certification.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long shifts.
• Experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
• Familiarity with basic shipping documentation and FIFO.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks to move inventory.
• Load and unload trucks, stack pallets in bays, and shrink-wrap goods.
• Scan goods with RF devices and complete basic shipping docs.
• Perform pre-shift safety checks and follow OSHA guidelines.
• Rotate stock using FIFO and report damages or shortages.

Core Responsibilities

• Operate Equipment: Drive sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks to transport inventory.
• Load and Unload: Handle inbound and outbound trucks, securely stack pallets in assigned bays, and shrink-wrap goods.
• Track Inventory: Scan and track goods using RF scanners and complete basic shipping documentation.
• Maintain Safety: Perform pre-shift safety inspections on equipment and follow OSHA guidelines.
• Manage Stock: Rotate stock using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and report product damage or shortages.

General Requirements

• Certification: Valid forklift operator license or certification.
• Physical Strength: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for long shifts.
