Cushman & Wakefield Services is hiring a Fork Truck Driver for 2nd shift in the New York area. The role involves loading, unloading, and moving materials with stand-up forklifts in a fast-paced plant setting.

You will operate equipment safely, keep areas tidy, and follow OSHA/SDS standards. Prior material handling experience and forklift certification are valued, with overtime as required by production schedules.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of industrial material handling experience preferred.
• Training available based on applicant experience in related fields.
• Stand Up Fork Truck experience a plus.

Fork Truck Driver- 2nd Shift

Job Description Summary

The forklift operator is responsible to load/ unload and move materials (trash/ recyclables/ Cardboard) by hand or with basic material handling equipment. Operate a variety of forklift equipment to load, unload and move materials around the Plant.

Pay

Pay: $20.76

Schedule

Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 11:00pm

Mandatory OT as required based on production.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the facilities equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
• Comply with OSHA and SDS Standards.
• Work environment will consist of regular exposure in a manufacturing setting.
• Fast-paced environment and repetitive tasks.
• Frequently lift up to 35 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, and pivot.
• Overtime is mandatory and based on production schedule.

Requirements

• Experience 1+ years of previous industrial material handling experience in a manufacturing facility preferred.
• Training is available to candidates based on applicant experience in related fields.
• Stand Up Fork Truck experience a plus.

Skills / Knowledge

• Ability to maintain forklift certification.
• Ability to read and interpret written instructions and to write intelligible reports.
• Knowledge of plant layout including location of materials.
• Plant safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Certification

Must be certified by C&W Services to operate fork-lift before he/she can be put to work. (We will train you and certify you through CW Services).

Pay Range and Compensation

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $17.65 - $20.76
