**Responsibilities:**

1. Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transfer materials between unloading, loading, and storage areas.
2. Load and unload freight from trucks using forklifts.
3. Understand proper loading techniques and trailer weight distribution to ensure trucks remain within legal weight limits.
4. Label, organize, and secure stored materials.
5. Perform routine pre- and post-inspections of forklifts to ensure proper working condition.
6. Manually load or unload materials onto pallets or skids if necessary.
7. Report any product damage, faulty equipment, or safety hazards to supervisors.
8. Coordinate with supervisors, managers, dispatch, and colleagues regarding loading and unloading operations.
9. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area; assist with facility cleanup and grounds maintenance.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

**Requirements:**

• Previous forklift operation experience preferred.
• Ability to handle objects carefully to prevent damage or scratches.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs with or without equipment.
• Strong team player, capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic arithmetic skills (add, subtract, multiply).
• Forklift certification preferred.
