Job Description

NTN DRIVESHAFT, INC.

Position: Warm Press Operator

Location: Forge Plant

Responsibilities:

  • Operate mechanical hot (Hub and CVJ) forge presses or cold (ironing and wringing) presses and (Bonderizing lines) to produce forged steel parts.
  • Coordinate the operation of shears for cutting bar stock and induction heating units for heating billets before forging.
  • Perform tasks such as shaping, forming, and cutting metal using various forging machines.
  • Adjust dies and monitor equipment during operation, correcting minor issues as needed.
  • Maintain accurate production and time records.
  • Ensure the work area is clean and organized.
  • Follow all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Operate gas or oil-fired furnaces to heat metal prior to forging.
  • Load and unload furnaces with automatic conveyors.
  • Handle heated or cold metal pieces and position them on dies for forging.
Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of forging experience.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including on uneven surfaces.
  • Capability to perform repetitive tasks and use manual dexterity.
  • Good vision and attention to detail for reading gauges and safety indicators.
  • Physical stamina to maintain focus and energy throughout the shift.
  • Good balance and mobility in tight spaces.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions.

Note: Forklift certification is required if applicable, in accordance with the Material Handler Job Description.
