Job Title: Forge Supervisor - Drop Forge & Screw Press

Pay: $95,000 - $115,000

Location: Rockaway, NJ

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across drop forge, screw press, saw, grinding, and inspection areas
• Plan and coordinate production to meet output targets and delivery schedules
• Supervise, coach, and develop approximately 10 hourly employees
• Monitor production performance and report daily metrics
• Ensure forging processes meet quality and process standards
• Inspect dies, presses, and work-in-process; identify issues and drive corrective actions
• Support tooling, dies, and forging parameters
• Train and onboard new employees in forging operations
• Set work schedules and optimize productivity
• Participate in technical reviews of forging processes and improvements
• Enforce safety policies and regulatory compliance
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean principles
• Support special projects and operational improvements

Qualifications

Required Experience: Hands-on experience within a heavy industrial setting and prior supervision experience within a manufacturing environment

Forging experience: Forging experience is the top priority, with drop hammer experience preferred and screw press experience highly relevant

Candidates from casting or other heavy industrial metals manufacturing environments may also be considered

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree preferred or High School Diploma/GED plus 5+ years of manufacturing experience. Aerospace, defense, forging, casting, or heavy industrial metals experience preferred. Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and Six Sigma knowledge are a plus. Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, safety, and cross-functional leadership skills
