Late 1st shift, 9: 00am - 7:30 pm

Monday - Thursday

$20 - $21 p/hr



Summary

Operate machines to perform standardized operations. Recognize defective materials and machine malfunctions. Observe continuous operation of machines to ensure that products meet specifications.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs forge operations and setups in accordance with Operation Standards and Work Instructions.


• Read work orders, work instructions, formulas, or processing charts.


• Maintain production documentation.


• Position and secure inserts, hand loads and work pieces on machines.


• Remove finished products from machines, using hand tools and other equipment.


• Measure and visually inspect products for surface and dimension defects in order to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.


• Maintain customer quality standards.


• Fill in appropriate information on labels and associated documentation needed on products when necessary.


• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.


• Final packaging of products for shipment.


• Responsible for clean-up procedures.


• Training new team members on proper procedures and techniques.


• Perform re-work duties as assigned.


• Relieve other operators for breaks as needed.


• Act as a back up to the Inspector whenever necessary.
