FWS Forestry California LLC is seeking an experienced Forestry Manager to coordinate timber harvest planning and permitting for 170,000 acres in Shasta Cascades Timberlands. The role works with the Logging Operations Manager to meet planned harvest volumes for 3–5 years.

The position requires overseeing THP planning, field surveys, and regulatory compliance, with collaboration across regulatory agencies to protect landowner interests.

Qualifications

• Education: BS degree in Forestry, Natural Resources or equivalent.
• Strong candidates with California experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Directs fieldwork and document prep for wildlife, botany, geological and property-line surveys.
• Supervises THP contractors to ensure compliance with California Forest Practice Rules and clear documentation.
• Manage THP document submissions, pre-harvest inspections, approvals, and compliance tracking.
• Monitor and report WQCB water quality and CADFW Master Agreement for Timber Operations.
• Develop long-range harvest schedules and convert to tactical harvest plans.
• Generate maps using GIS and perform spatial analyses.
• Maintain geospatial database to track silvicultural operations.
• Represent landowner interests with local, state, and federal agencies.
• Prepare one to two timber harvest plans annually.
