Job summary

The University of Kentucky is seeking an Undergraduate Research Data Assistant to support forestry and natural resources research by entering, organizing, and managing data collected from field work. Duties include data entry, spreadsheet organization, basic data cleaning and quality control.

Experience with Microsoft Excel and data management is preferred; training will be provided. The position is part-time, 5–20 hours per week with flexible scheduling, through Fall 2026 and possibly into 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet/data management is preferred but not required, and training will be provided.
• Forestry or NRES majors preferred.
• Some college education required.

Responsibilities

• Data entry, spreadsheet organization, basic data cleaning and quality control, and reviewing datasets for accuracy and completeness.
