Job summary

Qualifications

• Undergraduate studies in forestry or related field is strongly preferred.
• Ability to navigate and measure distances in natural forests.
• Ability to hike off-trail for up to two miles while carrying equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lay out terrestrial LiDAR scanning locations using measuring tape, compass, and flags.
• Move and position lightweight reflectance targets during data collection.
• Walk about 40 minutes on a forest route to the plots, carrying up to 40 pounds of equipment.
• Assist with real-world data collection using a high-end laser scanning sensor.
