Job summary

Burford’s Construction in North Carolina is seeking an Equipment Operator to operate and maintain a range of forestry equipment, such as Jarraffs, brush cutters, and Timberlands, across various sites. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and strong physical stamina in demanding outdoor environments.

You will support the team by performing line clearance tasks near electrical conductors, following directions, and wearing PPE.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• 1-year previous experience.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Bilingual (Spanish / English) a plus.
• A Commercial Driver’s License is strongly preferred.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice.
• Readily join storm restoration efforts in times of need.
• Able to work for extended periods in various locations.
• Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
• Willing to work over‑time when requested.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
