Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain heavy equipment, assist in tree falling and material transport.
  • Conduct prescribed burns, trail maintenance, and support forest restoration.
  • Work with other departments as needed.

As a Forestry Equipment Operator I, you will work alongside skilled professionals executing projects to improve the health of our Sierran forest, build community wildfire resilience, and reduce excess fuels through vegetation management. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining heavy equipment, assisting in tree falling and material transport, prescribed burns, trail maintenance, forest restoration, and supporting other departments as needed.
