Greene Lumber Co. in Davenport, NY, part of The Baillie Group, seeks a dependable Chainsaw / Equipment Operator to support log yard and sawmill operations. You will operate chainsaws, various equipment, and maintain safe work areas while helping flow of materials through the facility.

The ideal candidate has experience in industrial, forestry, logging, construction, or agricultural environments and can work outdoors in various weather.

Qualifications

• Experience operating equipment in industrial or forestry settings.
• Chainsaw experience required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to inspect equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn additional equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate chainsaws to buck, trim, and process logs.
• Operate sawmill machinery and other mobile equipment as needed.
• Inspect equipment daily and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas following safety standards.
• Support daily production goals with supervisors and team.
• Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and assist with general labor.
