The MFC provides expert management, protection, and information needed to keep Mississippi's approximately 19.2 million acres of forestland healthy, productive, and prosperous. This position is with the Mississippi Forestry Commission in Area 43, with duties and responsibilities in Marion, Pike, and Walthall Counties. Second-level professional Forestry position accountable for planning, organizing, and developing forest protection, forest management or administrative services programs. Jobs at this level prepare detailed forest management plans for landowners; mark timber; assist in locating timber markets; and supervise prescribed burning activities.
