This position is with the Mississippi Forestry Commission in Area 43, with duties and responsibilities in Marion, Pike, and Walthall Counties. Second-level professional Forestry position accountable for planning, organizing, and developing forest protection, forest management or administrative services programs. Jobs at this level prepare detailed forest management plans for landowners; mark timber; assist in locating timber markets; and supervise prescribed burning activities.

Preferred Qualifications

Agency preferred qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in forestry and 8+ years of experience and licensure as a Registered Forester, or complete Registered Forester Licensure during first year of employment.
