Position Overview

This position is based in Area 36, covering Claiborne, Copiah, and Jefferson counties. It is a first-level professional forestry role responsible for preparing county fire plans, training county crews in fire suppression, timber management, and safety, as well as preparing detailed forest management plans, marking timber, locating timber markets, supervising prescribed burns, and managing safety programs and firefighting equipment.

Preferred Qualifications
