The position is based in Willits, California, and requires a valid California Registered Professional Forester license.

Qualifications

• Valid California Registered Professional Forester license.
• Forester I level with CAL FIRE requirements.
• Probation requires CAL FIRE Firefighter Academy and Company Officer Academy.

Responsibilities

• Support administrative and program management within MEU.
• Contribute to recreation management on state forest lands.
• Lead vegetation management and fuel treatment across the unit.
• Anchor forestry work across multiple functions in the Mendocino region.
