Job Overview

Under limited supervision, performs full-performance level work focusing on technical and field duties in forest management. Reports to the nearest Forestry location. Responsibilities include fire prevention, preparedness, suppression, community engagement, training and managing fire personnel, conducting investigations, and supporting logging and compliance activities. Provides technical advice to landowners, prepares stewardship plans, and reviews reports on forest pests and diseases. Coordinates with other agencies as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Education: Associate degree in Forest Technology recognized by the Society of American Foresters OR Bachelor's degree in forestry accredited by the Society of American Foresters.

3. Licenses: Must have a current license as a registered professional forester or forestry technician and a valid driver's license.

Additional Requirements

Must pass a physical exam within six months of employment and maintain qualifications for a Natural Resources Police Officer throughout employment. Must meet all other specified conditions.
