In this position you will work with regional forestry staff on habitat management and promoting young forests in the Southcentral Region of our State Game Lands. This includes following instructions provided by the forester to mark the boundaries of various areas within the forest, examining trees and timber to conduct volume computations, and collecting field data. You will also participate in the application of herbicides for forest habitat management and maintenance, as well as conduct surveys and prepare forest habitat type maps for use by foresters. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
This position will be headquartered at the Perry County Habitat Management Crew headquarters office
The focal management area will be in the counties of Snyder, Mifflin, Juniata, Perry, and Cumberland,
but work will cover all of the Southcentral Region.
