  • Other job related education or experience may be substituted for part of these requirements upon approval.

Responsibilities

  • Perform wildfire suppression efforts using water pumps and hand tools.
  • Conduct controlled burns and firebreak maintenance.
  • Monitor fire-prone areas and report hazards.
  • Operate firefighting equipment and safety gear in field operations.
  • Assist in monitoring forest health and illegal logging.
  • Support law enforcement investigations of forestry infractions.
  • Respond to wildfires and emergencies; coordinate with agencies.
