Qualifications

• 1+ years hands-on experience running ground-based logging equipment
• Solid equipment care habits including inspections and preventive maintenance
• Strong safety record and working knowledge of OSHA safety practices
• Steady decision-making under time pressure with interruptions
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• A valid Oregon driver's license

Responsibilities

• Operate ground-based logging and chipping equipment, using experience with skidders, dozers, road graders, wheel loaders, log processors, log loaders, rubber‑tire shears/hot saws, track feller bunchers, and chippers.
• Keep equipment running with routine inspections, preventive maintenance and cleaning.
• Use judgment to make quick decisions, read hazards around moving equipment, and keep the operation safe.
• Set priorities and multitask in a fast-paced operation where conditions change.
