Job summary

RAND Engineering & Architecture, DPC is seeking a Project Associate in New York, NY. The successful candidate will perform building surveys and document conditions throughout the NYC/NJ area.

Qualified applicants will have an architecture degree and 1–5 years of experience, with a strong interest in forensics and existing buildings. A comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth are provided.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of relevant experience in New York City.
• Interest in pursuing architectural licensure; actively progressing candidates preferred.
• Comfortable with frequent fieldwork on roofs, facades, and construction sites.
• Curiosity about building systems interaction and historic preservation.

Responsibilities

• Perform building surveys and investigations throughout the NYC/NJ metropolitan area.
• Document conditions through photographs, measurements, and sketches.
• Evaluate conditions and recommend repair strategies with architects and engineers.
• Assist with exploratory probes and construction-phase site visits.
• Support investigation programs and design scopes from evaluation to implementation.
