Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Forensic Toxicology Laboratory Scientist I in Lenexa, KS, with a Tuesday to Saturday evening schedule (11:00 AM–7:30 PM). The role involves testing donor specimens, maintaining chain of custody, and following SOPs to ensure quality.

A BS in chemistry/biology is preferred and one year of lab experience is desired. Employees may receive shift differentials and eligibility for annual performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain chain of custody of forensic specimens and follow approved sampling procedures.
• Maintain competency by following SOPs, preparing reagents, and verifying QC samples.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic data review of analytical equipment.
• Keep documents legible, complete, and organized.
• Monitor temperature-dependent equipment checks and assist validations of procedures.
