Job description

Haag, a Salas O’Brien Company and a leader in forensic engineering and consulting since 1924, is seeking an experienced Forensic Structural Engineer ideally in the Tulsa, OK or Oklahoma City, OK areas. Working remotely from your home office, you will investigate and evaluate the cause and extent of damage following storms, natural disasters, fires/explosions, construction/design defects, accidents, and other types of catastrophes.

Qualifications
  • Licensed P.E. in OK (or eligible by reciprocity).
  • 1+ years’ forensic engineering experience preferred.
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, including working in confined spaces and on roofs. Carrying ladders and operating other equipment are essential functions.
  • Ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationally as needed by vehicle or by plane.
  • Must be able to work independently and with a cross‑functional team of experts.
  • Strong technical writing skills are required; the ability to write effective reports is critical.
  • Strong verbal communication skills are necessary; effective communicator in face‑to‑face interactions.
  • The ability to provide the utmost in customer service to our clients is a must.
  • Technical proficiency with computers, phones, cameras, etc.
  • Expert Witness experience preferred.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship or restrictions.
Education
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an ABET‑accredited university is required.
  • Master of Science Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is highly desirable.

The total compensation range for this position is $90,000 – $185,000 per year. The base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $130,000. The variable compensation range for this position is $0 to $55,000 per year but is not limited to that.
