Job summary

Nelson Forensics, LLC seeks a Forensic Structural Engineer in Dallas, TX to conduct investigations of structural collapses and damages. You will perform field investigations, analyze failures, and prepare defensible reports for diverse clients.

The ideal candidate holds a civil or structural engineering degree, a professional engineering license (PE), and 5–10 years of design experience. Travel and continuing education are expected to stay current with codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
• Active Professional Engineering (P.E.) license is required.
• 5–10 years of structural design experience preferred.
• Travel is required, occasional notice.

Responsibilities

• Investigate structural collapses, failures, damages, and defects.
• Prepare scopes for remediation and design documents.
• Prepare clear, concise engineering reports.
• Communicate with clients regularly.
• Manage concurrent projects with varying scopes and durations.
• Provide deposition and testimony as needed.
