An established industry player is seeking Forensic Social Workers for its Juvenile Rights Practice. This role involves working collaboratively with a team to support legal representation for children and youth in Family and Criminal Courts. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, providing crisis intervention, and developing treatment plans. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's in Social Work and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. The Juvenile Rights Practice has immediate openings for Forensic Social Worker positions in several of the Practice’s Trial offices. Forensic Social Workers are integral members of the interdisciplinary team with lawyers, paralegals, and other supporting roles that support the legal representation of children, youth and young adults in matters before NYC Family Courts and Criminal Court Youth Parts; including child welfare, youth justice, public defense, PINS (Persons-In-Need-of-Supervision), custody, guardianship, visitation and termination of parental rights cases.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
The salary range represents a good faith estimate of the range we expect to pay for this role. The actual salary offered may vary depending on many factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as collectively bargained salary steps for unionized roles.
Salary Range:$81,195 – $120,690

Higher Education and Loan Forgiveness
The Legal Aid Society is a qualified employer for the purposes of the Public Service Loan Forgiveness. This position allows an employee to take advantage of PSLF and other State and Federal loan forgiveness programs. Additionally, employees who are New York residents may be eligible for assistance from New York state to assist with loan repayments, depending on years of practice.
