Forensic Science Technician (761600) Remote

Pay rate: $26.74 hr

Temp: 6 months

Job Location: 2331 Phillips Rd. Tallahassee, FL 32308

Hours: Monday-Friday 8-5 Eastern Time

Forensic Science Technicians

Skills:

1. Fully qualified analyst in the Biology DNA discipline with testifying experience.
2. Must be trained by the FDLE training program and be knowledgeable and qualified in current testing protocol.
3. Review of data from outsourcing vendors for FDLE review.
4. Proficiency testing is current.

Equipment: Laptop provided by Dept.

Software to be used: LIMS, Office Suite, GMIDX, STRMIX

Mandatory: DNA Analysis, STRMix, GMIDX with Globalfiler analysis and interpretation

Duties:

1. Reviews DNA cases sent for outsourcing and completes the review and CODIS entry.
2. Technical reviews of current casework.

Background Checks: Statewide Criminal Search (Past 7 years), Fingerprint Level 2 check– FBI level, Past 5 years of employment, Motor Vehicle Check, 10 Panel Drug Screen
