Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System in Mishawaka, IN is seeking a Forensic Registered Nurse to provide compassionate care within the nursing process, under the Indiana Nurse Practice Act. This role includes head-to-toe trauma assessment, complete forensic evidence collection, documentation, and coordination with attorneys during judicial processes.

You will participate in on-call coverage, respond to subpoenas, and uphold our commitment to evidence-based practice, patient-centered care, and no mandatory

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Successful completion of the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Training and related didactic/clinical hours.
• Current RN License (RN-IN) and BLS certification.
• Critical care nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document complete physical and forensic evidence collection including head-to-toe trauma assessment and documentation.
• Provide testimony as fact witness and coordinate with attorneys.
• Take on-call shifts and report within 60 minutes of dispatch.
• Respond to subpoenas through the Forensic Department.
