Job summary

City of Dallas is seeking a Manager - Forensic Quality Assurance to lead the laboratory's quality management system and ensure ISO/ANAB accreditation across the Crime Scene Division.

The role requires strong leadership, internal audits, and expertise in forensic operations, with responsibilities including training, process improvement, and compliance oversight for casework and proficiency testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Forensic Science, Criminal Justice, or Natural Sciences, or a related discipline within these fields.
• Seven (7) years of experience in crime scene investigation and/or forensic analysis involving conclusion-based evidence within an ISO/ANAB-accredited quality management system.
• Three (3) years of supervisory/management or forensic oversight experience with a law enforcement crime scene unit or active crime laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Ensure ongoing yearly forensic accreditation to meet ISO standards and state statutes.
• Manage complex forensic operations and interact in a leadership role with forensic professionals.
• Supervise staff by directing activities to meet goals, coordinate functions, assign and review work, and provide training and counseling.
